MinistryWatch is an online searchable database containing research reports, financial information, analyst comments, 5 star ratings and other organizational information on more than 400 of the largest national parachurch ministries in the United States. Collectively, the 400+ ministries in the database receive annual donations of more than $6 billion, have assets of greater than $6 billion, and reach out to an estimated donor audience of more than 30 million Americans. www.ministrywatch.com

The American Institute of Philanthropy
is a watchdog group that rates 400 major US charities in 37 different categories. Each detailed report is $3 but you can also find the top charities in 36 different industry fields. They also provide tips to insure safe giving. www.charitywatch.org

The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability is made up of over 950 member organizations. ECFA's purpose is to help Christ-centered evangelical nonprofit organizations earn the public's trust through their ethical practices and financial accountability. The SF Foundation
provides detailed information on a number of nonprofit organizations and links to other search engines. They also have the ability to create a portal for the nonprofit community to have greater selectivity in searches you want to provide your constituents. www.sf.org

The Philanthropic Advisory Service provides information on some of the largest US charities. You can also file a complaint about a particular charity and find additional information to help donors make wise giving decisions. www.bbb.org/
